Teachers:

ANTONIO VÍCTOR GARCÍA-SERRANO – ZAKATO

Antonio Víctor García-Serrano is connected to the capture of panoramic images since the beginning of this century, and in 2011 was distinguished as Master of Contemporary Panoramic Photography by the Virtual Reality Panoramic Association IVRPA.

As part of his continuous learning and investigation processes, he has been exploring the techniques of spherical videos since 2010. Antonio has actually developed his own methods for the recording of high quality 360º videos, and these have been recognised and presented worldwide. His methods are based on classic photographic techniques, both in its 2D version and as of recently in stereoscopic 3D.

The efficient use of the latest hardware and software applied to the established panoramic photography techniques, is more than enough for the recording of certain 360º videos (2D and 3D). This adaptation of the photographic techniques presents in a way certain limitations regarding the kind of videos to make, but on the other hand are a simple and economic way of capturing the highest definition spherical videos. The writing, designing and filming methods used with this particular method of capturing panoramic videos does resemble very much the more traditional cinematographic techniques.
